What began as a long-held vision to widen access to science and medicine has grown into a structured nonprofit focused on practical support, mentorship, and sustainable impact. ReMix exists to invest early, intentionally, and transparently in students building what comes next.
ReMix is currently registered as a charitable organization in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Massachusetts. We are focused on serving students within these regions while building toward broader partnerships and multi-state expansion.
Founder
ReMix Science & Care was founded by Skye Clayton, a biomedical sciences graduate student and clinical research professional committed to expanding equitable access to STEM and healthcare pathways. Through her academic, research, and community work, Skye recognized that small financial barriers and lack of mentorship often determine who advances and who is forced to step back. ReMix was created to close those gaps with intentional design and long-term impact in mind.

We plan to begin awarding microgrants in Fall 2026. We are currently finalizing eligibility criteria and gathering community input to ensure the program is both accessible and sustainable.
